Not too much is known about the details of her mission, but she plays an important role for our plucking protagonist and her stalwart pupil вЂ“ Naked Snake.Дuring The BossвЂ™s own mission, Snake is sent to Russia as well, but with a much simpler mission: to retrieve Dr. She is sent on a mission to collect the PhilosopherвЂ™s Legacy (a massive store of wealth left behind by a group of nations before World War II) from Russia. The United States has an incredibly skilled soldier who is renowned and feared on the battlefield by friend and foe alike, named The Boss. LetвЂ™s start at the very beginning with the first chronological game of the franchise: Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. However, I must warn you that something might invariably slip through the cracks, so donвЂ™t sharpen those pitchforks the moment you notice that I have spoiled something you wanted to figure out for yourself. For those who plan on playing some of the other games, I canвЂ™t promise a complete lack of spoilers from earlier games (Metal Gear Solid 3, Peace Walker and Ground Zeroes), but I will keep the spoilers from chronologically later games (Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4) to a minimum.

Sadly, thanks to KojimaвЂ™s flair for theatrics, the Metal Gear universe is pretty convoluted and even the most die-hard fans (like me) often have to visit a bunch of different wikis and discussion boards to figure out just what the hell is happening.Д«ecause of this, I thought this is the perfect use for the rather large amounts of (useless in the real world) information I have amassed about the series, and use to help introduce newer players to the messed up and confusing world of Metal Gear Solid. Because of the gameвЂ™s massive popularity, it is introducing a whole new generation of gamers to the Metal Gear Solid franchise. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has shaped up to be possibly the biggest release of the franchise, owing in no small part to the massive marketing and hype machine created by Konami and the rather public drama unfolding between gamers all over the world between Konami and series-creator Hideo Kojima.
